The Relationship Between Sleep and Stress

Sleep is a part of our daily activity that is essential to get us through day-to-day life. Having enough sleep for around 6-8 hours a day will recharge the energy we need to do our daily activities.   • Create your optimal bedroom atmosphere by dimming the light and reducing noise exposure from the outside.

  • Avoid looking at your clock if you wake up in the middle of the night as it can trigger your anxiety and may dissociate you from quality sleep.

  • Try getting up when you’re too stressed to sleep and haven’t gone to sleep after 15 minutes of trying as it will have the opposite effect on your sleep quality. Do a relaxing activity instead such as reading, listening to calming music, or meditating.
